English classes

Hello guys, this is the last post that I’ll do and it will be about English class in university.

I did like conversations we had with each other, between partners but I would have liked more lessons about grammar because I think writing is so important and necessary to communicate an idea, especially wether it is in another language.

About the blog I don’t think they do a good feedback about how we writing, because we have corrections for a few blogs and we don’t know how well we’re doing it.

I really need improve my grammar and fluency when I have to speak in english. Talk clearly and safety. My plan to be better is listen movies dialogues with subtitles and repeat to improve my pronunciation, then take it off subtitles and try to understand what they are talking about. Further, words that I don’t know and looking for them in a dictionary and write them down in a place where I see frequently with the aim of remembering their meanings to later be able to make sentences with these words.

I use english so much for different thing like watch tv series from UK or USA and sometimes I try to understand without using subtitles. Also, constantly we have to read publications from scientific magazines and most of them are in english so it’s really important know to speak in english and understanding it.

Class schedule was terrible, I felt many time so tired that I had a hard time getting up in the morning to travel in a rural bus from Buin (my town) to La Pintana.

Study program and Forestry faculty

Hello, again guys. How are you?

Today I’ll talk about my study program that changed a little while ago. Personally I don’t know how much changed the program, just which it changed because it was closely related industries and production and students wanted subjects about nature, biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.

I really prefer the new program because I like plants, animal and ecosystems, and I want to know more about them and I think this program teach about these subjects. Some teachers have teaching methods a little old and that make class be boring and poorly understood. Also they make us read ancient text that talk about different professional technique useless nowadays.

There are subjects that are so important but are poorly undestood, sadly, are too ambiguous and it makes it complicated to learn. However, subjects like “Oratoria” are relevant for a development of a professional but teachinh method it’s not so good, also classes are held every other week and that it takes away continuity.

But program have a good stuffs like summer practice, Frutillar is one of them, field trips to study ecology, plants and animals and how this elements live together and coexist.  About infrastructure forestry students have few classrooms so we have to take classes in Agronomy building and that not okay because our faculty must have classes for all of us, we are its students and we pay for education. For example, some computers do not work and we have classes in computer room, also computer are not enough for everyone.

Well, those are some of the problems we have in Forestry faculty.

Astronomy

Hello guys, this time I will talk about a great topic, a topic that I like so much and I think is so interesting: Astronomy.

I always think that stars and galaxy is something that everyone like, and we are part of them… we are stardust. I really like the idea we are stardust, is beautiful, right? There was a time that we are stars exploding and crushing each other. And then become us, like a chemistry particules, later like cells, until become a human beens.

When I was child we watched stars in my cousin’s telescope and it was amazing, watch the moon so close that we almost felt we touched her. However, with or without telescope watch star is one of my favorite hobbies. I remember when I was in Pantanillos, a study place, property of my university, with my classmates watched stars. The amazing thing about Pantanillos is that it is located in Cordillera de la Costa, so we can look at the stars with clear sky. But the wonderful thing is that sometimes we could see shooting stars. In fact, it happened frequently. So we went up the hills to feel closer to the sky. I once read stars have too much energy that they consume themselves until they cease to exist, that moment it’s known like “The death of a star”, where the stars becomes black holes.

Holidays summer

Hi bloggers, today I’m going to talk about my next summer holidays.

I hope this summer holidays being better than holidays of this year. This year I went backpacking in south of Chile. Chonchi, Achao, Cucao are some places from Great Island of Chiloe where I went, and I would glad to go again. However, I don’t have so much money for next year, but with the money I saved this year should be enough.  Also, if I’ll go don’t be alone, this way I would share costs with my friends thereby everything would be alright. Well, always considering buy cheaper things and only necessary stuffs like food or lintern’s batteries.

Anyway, I don’t really care if I can’t go backpacking this summer. To rest in my house is a good idea too, because 2016 has been a hard year about university and classes. Another option is going to Las Cruces’s beach with my uncle and cousins. It’s really nice go with them, they are so funny people and always there is something entertaining to do like go to a bar in Algarrobo town visit its beaches and craft fairies.

This summer I’m going to Frutillar with 1^st year students as a teaching assistant and that will be wonderful because I like so much teaching to other students, also we visit beautiful places and we can see beautiful plants and animals and that for me are the most amazing holidays, a holidays doing what I like.

Postgraduate studies

Well, you already know that I love plants, right? I suppose you can imagine what I want study after.  I don’t really know exactly what I want, but I know that I will be botanic and I will describe plants and their distribution, form, qualities, analyze stomata, and investigate all the things that plants have.

My first goal is studying a genus of plants called Chusquea, known as American bamboo. This genus is located in Chile from fifth region to south. I want decribe it in Region Metropolitana first, and later describe it for all over the country. Yes, it’s a hard and difficult work because this plants looks similar each other.

When I did this, I will continue with another genus of plants, I really love them, you know? I can’t imagine my future life doing other things, studying other stuffs. I will definitely do this.

But, if I had to choose a Postgrade it be something associated whit ecology, studying, maybe, pollinators, and relationship between plant-animal or perhaps ways to determinated species of plants to distinguish of rest species from the same genus.

I want to continue in Chile until knowing most species of plants that there are here, just in that moment I will think about going to other places, first south-america, then England and the rest of the world, learning about plants that I even heard before.

Future Job

This is about future job that I would like do.

When I was child I wanted to be Archeologist, traveling all over the world looking for treasures from different cultures and nations.  Nothing is change about traveling, but change the job while I was growing. Other job that I wanted did was been an actor. That was a very important moment of my life, its means a lot for me. I love movies, I like drama, psychologist Thrillers, and I wanted to act in films, in theaters, cross the country showing my play. I think art jobs are amazing, they’re difficult but are great after all. Despite I never liked maths and science, now I want to be Botanic, because I realized that I love plants, and flowers, and they’re forms and colors, and their smell, everything, and I want to know more of them. This have two parts, the first part is go somewhere looking for plants, describing the area, like altitude, and the other plants that around over the place. Then we can take plants that we ever seen before for carry on to our lab. This is the second part, analyzing plants and using them for any purpose we want, like see their genetic material or the form that has their leaves. I really love that job, I like study very much about things I love.

National Park

When I was in Chiloé, I visited Cucao’s National Park, a place devastating for fire show us trees and landscapes burned. However, sector had so many woody roads, and some of them was covered by canopy of different trees. I went in the morning with my friends, we walk around all over the Park.

We were camping in a Camping Zone next to National Park. That day the Park was full. A lot of people went to this place, for over the world, I was really exciting because I only had visited another 2 National Park in my University’s summer clases: National Park: Puyehue and Alerce Andino, the first located in Puyehue town and the other in Puerto Montt city.

If you asking me which one was my favorite, I could not say. Every single place had a unique beauty,  a some magic secret within and I love them equally. I’m very sad when people no take care this places, there are thash everywhere, food, even clothes spread all over. I really hope people’s mind change with respect to this, and finally they can see the damaged we cause to nature.

Anyway, I would be happy to visit this places again, and I really do it son.

Films

The films are the most beautiful human creation. They show us the human nature, the truth undercover. I love the films because ther so many things inside, mistery, drama, love, action-reaction. Sometimes is a cycle. My favorite director… mmm, Maybe Wes Anderson, I really love his movies, Mr Fox !!! Based on a novel of Roald Dahl, it’s a little pretty creation. Or The Gran Hotel Budapest! A wonderful history. Or The Royal Tenembaums . Well I like his work, his filmography, his histories, his obsession with symmetry. Wes Anderson’s films are so beauty that made me happy every time when I was sad. Kind a therapy for me. I think his movies shows the simply of the life. I love the main characters and the others, and his movies inspired other movies from other directors, like Submarine from Richard Ayoade.

But, also I like so much Hitchcock’s films, pure Thriller, pure thinking. Action-reaction. Hitchcock’s movies  are some creepy things and beautiful in the same time. Made that mix is magnific. So many feeling when you see his movies, is another world, another universe, another feelings never described before.

I recommend to you, see this 2 greatest director form 2 different times.

Holidays

I remember my favorite holidays. It was February. One day my mom told me ''prepare yourself, we go to Chiloé". Only the idea exciting me, a night car travel. On the road we passed for Frutillar and Puerto Varas, I like so much Llanquihue lake with the Osorno volcano and Calbuco. I walked around lake's beach. Smeel the air, feel cool, watching birds. I really want to come back!
Chiloé was even better. I met with friends and I stay whit them. The are travelling across Chiloe, from one place to another, and I join it. The best week in my life, freedom, plants, birds, animals, beauty landscapes. All the things was wonderfull, meeting people, the beach partys, friends, conversations, the stars, the sounds of the night, even the weight of the bag on my back. Everything was perfect. I'd be glad to do it again, every summer, every year.

I do not what tell you about me. It’s like the rap song: ‘’you thinking know me? I don’t know me’’. I can write about all the things you know about me, or the things would you like read in this post. I do not want to talk about the same topics; I don’t really talk at all. I want to listen stories, watch them in my mind. Watch more Wes Anderson’s films even if I seen them before.

I don’t know how it’s work, how describe me, maybe it’s enough say ‘’Hello, it’s me. I’m a very funny boy. Would you like to be my friend? ’’ or maybe not.

Me & my Iphone

I’m good at using my iphone, I’m use it to listen to music, play a lot games, use apps, and call, obviously. I like it because I can use it in everywhere , in every moment and It makes everything faster and It is most comfortable. My favorite iphone’s game I’ts called Spider man, based on the famous superhero, also It’s my favorite superhero since childhood, and for me It is the best of all existing superheroes. I always wanted an iPhone, because they are quick and very functional, I can see the emails, my facebook page and instantly instagram. I recommend everyone use cases, try it and you will not regret because their photos and videos are in an incredible quality, I swear. A huge hug, bye.

MY EDUCATION

All my life, I studied at the same school, Liceo A-131 of Buin. It is a municipal school where the academic requirement was not much. In elementary I hated every single subjects, well, I liked science a little. The teachers were not very demanding but were very friendly. The tests was not very difficult, perhaps for that I never had a bad marks. I liked the school day, because we did not leave so late and we still had the afternoon off. The trouble was that they sent homework, and sometimes became complicated having to do many tasks the afternoon to next day. I hated reading books to Language.

In High school everything changed for the worse. The requirement decreased so much, and teachers are not much worried about the students, just doing their job and leave. Maybe something positive about this was the freedom, friendship, and grow up by myself, and know what is most important in the life. Perhaps the freedom that gave the school served to realize the things that are worthwhile and which are not.

Forestry

I am a Forestry student in Universidad de Chile. I decided study Forestry because I love the trees, their colours, their forms. I love see the streets with trees around, make a tunnel. For me, the trees inspired peaceful, and everything is more beautiful when they are. There is not the perfect word to describe how I feel. So, I am studying Forestry because I want to keep safe the woods and the animals that live in there. That’s one of all my missions about care the world. I want to give him back all the amazing stuffs that he gives me. Is a way to say ''Thank you very much for all the experiences, and the beauty, and give me a huge breath everyday’’.You know what’s saying; if you love something so much, you must to protect it and fight it, and that’s what I’m doing. To finish; I love my university, I love the campus, I love my career, and I can´t stop without fulfilling my expectations about my life and career.

INTO THE LIFE

Into the woods i knew all kind of stuffs, shadows things around me. Everything was disgusting. Every moment was sadly. I felt all the pain enclosed in every living thing. All the tales, all the damn tales were here, like they flying in my mind. I could not stop thinking … in die, in pain, the pain I've caused to the world, to my friends, my family.
I don’t know where I am now, where is the way, the way of truth , the way out of painful. Everything is redundant. I feel the death close, so close. The tear will never be the solution, it’s just a cloistered. I feel the words burn in my bloodstream, her words is ink in my skin to remaind me the mistakes I 've made before. The worst is I suffer because I remember them, I suffer because I forgotten them.
Now I’m into the Forest of Redemption.

Interesting things about me :)

Hi buddies, today I’m gonna tell you something interesting about me. Something like:

1.       I like Grunge music and I would like to play Grunge songs on my guitar, but my problem is that my guitar have nylon strings, don’t metal strings as in the bands videos Grunge Unplugged.

1.       My favorite Superhero is Spiderman because Peter Parker is a teenager like me and he has teen problems like mine.

1.       I enjoy being alone (although it often depresses me), and see the things around me, and feel the air in my skin, hear the birds singing, see the leaves of the trees glow with sunlight, and that kind of things that make me feel free.

1.       My favorite song called Scar Tissue by my favorite band: Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Biography

Hi, my name is Juan Pablo. My friends call me Juanpy. I'm 18 years old. My birthday is 26/04. I like play guitar , drums and keyboard, and obviously listen music. Now I am a Forestry's student and i like it! I want to be a Forest Protector and living into the woods. But I love to live near the city. I was born in Buin , a town 35 km southern Santiago. I like every kind of music; Chilean Rap, Funk, Rock, Jazz, and I like to talk on any topic, so I can converse about anything :). I like to think todo lo que nos pasa es lo mejor que nos pudo haber pasado, everything that happens to us is the best thing that could have happened. I studied at the Liceo A 131 in Buin, where I met my best friends. My high school is a municipal school and I am proud to have been there. My favorite artist is John Frusciante ex Red Hot Chili Peppers's guitarist, and that is my favorite band. My favorite singer is Cevladé; a Chilean rap's singer and professor of language. 

Soon will be my birthday, and I want to be with my people but I can't because I have to study for college and that make me sad :'(. I love art, theater and music, read, eat roast.
